Today is such an important day for us all who are members of Girlguiding and The Scouts, as we celebrate Thinking and Founder’s Day!
Today was chosen as it is Lord Robert Baden-Powell and Lady Olave Baden-Powell’s birthday.
Through celebrations, it allows us to think about all the other Guides and Scout throughout the globe and the amazing organisations that we are part of it.
International friendship to a key element to both Girlguiding and Scouting organisations, and at Poacher 2022, this is essential part of taking part of an international jamboree.
To help participants and adults meet even more members of our organisations, try new experiences and to enjoy all the jamboree has to offer, we have the Poacher Challenge 2022 which can be completed throughout the week.
The Poacher 2022 Challenge has different sections which need to be completed before you are awarded the Poacher 2022 Challenge badge*!
The Poacher Challenge 2022 badge is based around the colours of the Lincolnshire flag (Red to represent the cross of St George, Yellow represents the crops grown in the county, Blue represents the sea of the east coast, and Green represents the rich lushness of fenland fields) and the Lincolnshire Imp (symbol of the City of Lincoln).
We hope as many of you participate in the Poacher Challenge 2022 throughout the week and celebrate in what international friendship can bring! For more information, please visit the webpage here.
* Participant and Adult badges are limited edition and offered on a first come first served basis
