Every day Poacher is being joined by young people from Scouts and Guides junior Sections. The 500 young people each day have the opportunity to experience the Jamboree site and try out their own activities similar to the activities the resident participants are taking part in.

Isla, a Cub Scout from 2nd Cottesmore Cub Pack, reflected on a successful morning at Junior Poacher. “I tried the Cave Bus, I was really proud to complete the course, because last time I refused to do it” (because it looked scary). This time? “I smashed it! I’m really looking forward to coming back to a Poacher Jamboree as a Scout.”

With so many activities on offer it’s clearly hard to choose their favourite but Ockham Beaver Scouts said that they had really enjoyed the bumper cars.

William, age 7, is staying with his family on Carnival fest, told us about “the amazing fantastic day” he had visiting Junior Poacher. William explained that he had been on a tractor ride, played a crazy golf game and had go on the air pillow. He said, “we would recommend a visit as we had an awesome time”.
